WebbSolution. Construction : A compound microscope consists of two lenses. The lens towards the object is called objective lens and the lens near the eye is called eyepiece. The lenses are so chosen that the focal length of the objective lens is small compared to the eyepiece. This combination of lenses forms a magnified image of the object.
